We stopped on the side of the
road for a family picture (the camera is on top of the car and it was fun getting the timer right with no cars coming).
Looking to the left of the look out.

This is a recently built bridge to the falls. Before the new bridge was built it everyone used the log on the right. ;)

Mom posing on the bridge.

Tributary

Not the biggest fall we have seen on our trips but one of my favorites.

A look from the top of the falls. Their was no path up there so I made one. ;)

As we were leaving the falls Dad pointed out a couple of trees that had started growing from fallen ones.

Here we are on a hike later that day.

The road goes ever on and on...

(Not really) Here's a view from the top!
A different view from the top
Mom and Dad posing for their 6th or 7th time up Whiteside Mountain

I just couldn't help it!!!

Just
keepin' it cool 8-/
We had lunch on the top of this rock (or near it), I tried to convince Mom and Dad that it was a perfectly safe way to get down but some how they didn't go for it....

Back down the mountain, a lovely wild apple tree stands (in Cashiers). The apples were actually pretty good- if you could find one without holes that is!
Although we have only one day left of our time in NC, we are planning to stop at a family integrated church on the way back in Georgia. So, I hope to do one more post on our trip. :)
